Fazilka / Abohar: Senior BJP leader Sunil Jakhar on Friday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is certain to form the next government in Punjab. He was addressing the Sarv Samaj OBC Conference organized by the BJP in Abohar in the presence of Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

During his address, Jakhar announced that he would donate his personal land for the establishment of a medical college in the Abohar region. He said the people of Abohar are like family to him and that he would always remain indebted to them.

Jakhar said the event was dedicated to marking 12 years of public service under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stated that while the Modi government has worked on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” a BJP government in Punjab would also ensure accountability and take legal action against those who allegedly misused public funds for personal gain.

Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Jakhar predicted that the party’s future in Punjab would be similar to that of the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and claimed that it would disintegrate after the next Assembly elections.

He said the people of Punjab are looking towards the BJP with hope and have made up their minds to bring the party to power. According to Jakhar, only a BJP “double-engine government” can pull Punjab out of its current challenges and ensure better coordination with the Centre for the state’s development.

The BJP leader further said that a future BJP government would launch a strong campaign against drug abuse and criminal elements, strengthen law and order, and create an environment where people can live and conduct business without fear.

Jakhar also accused AAP leaders of accumulating wealth after coming to power and urged the public to share photographs and videos on social media comparing the old and new properties of local AAP legislators.

Highlighting the Centre’s support for farmers, he said that urea, which costs around ₹100 per kilogram, is being made available to farmers at about ₹6 per kilogram through government subsidies.

Appealing to party workers to intensify preparations for the upcoming elections, Jakhar said the time was not far when the BJP would form the next government in Punjab.
